This moment right here. This moment where Korra is willing to give up her very life for the world? Because she thinks she isn’t the avatar anymore. She can only airbend, something she was so proud of the moment it happened, something that helped defeat Amon, in the end, and Korra is willing to give it all up.

She had just found out the guy she loves loves her back. She just got to see her parents, she got to know that everyone else would be alright without her. She had always been willing to give up her life for the world.

And sometimes, sacrifice isn’t only for those moments when action is happening. Sometimes sacrifice is about quietly doing what needs to be done. Korra thought she had to sacrifice herself because she couldn’t ever master the avatar state without the other element.

This wasn’t a cop-out. This wasn’t about just giving the fandom Korra in the avatar state because we wanted it. This was just showing that sacrifice isn’t just about doing what’s right in a fight. Korra’s lowest point isn’t self-doubt or feeling worthless.

Korra’s lowest point was knowing having to face her own limitations as a human being, and trying to overcome them the only way she knew how. Her [possible] suicide attempt wasn’t because of her self-esteem. It was because she thought it was the only way to make sure the world was safe from this sort of thing happening again.

When I watch Korra with them, it just reminds me that Aang is there and the tears just start up.

And I know that Tenzin truthfully loves Korra, but I can’t help but think that he must REALLY miss Aang. He was SUCH high regard for Aang and you can just hear it when he talks about him and the way he looks at the memorial.

And when Iroh said that Zuko would respect Korra’s wish to go fight, I was just thinking, Zuko must miss Aang too.

And then I think, Lin must have been holding back when she was pretending to hate Korra, cause I know she missed Aang. After all, the two got along famously.

And back to the airbabies. As much as I know that they like Korra, I can’t help but think that they must be thinking, “This is what is muct be like to have Aang around.”

And the obvious, when Katara hugged Korra, I was just thinking, she was really love him.

I dunno, I’m being so emotional right now.

Don’t get me wrong either, Korra is her own person, but Aang sometimes reflects through her personality and the people Aang had to say goodbye to obviously sees this in her.

I mean, did you see the look of utter fascination in Tenzin’s face when Korra gave back Lin’s bending? Oh my GOODNESS. Even though Aang is gone, he lives through Korra and that is something I saw in Korra. It makes me tear up and places a HUGE lump in my throat.

Yes, I know this is “Just a show” but it really does stir up some crazy emotions in my heart.

I've cried with shows before.... but this is different.
